Dr Joanna Newman, from Highgate, wore the Dorothy dress in ivory to greet none other than the Duchess of Sussex when she visited City University. The Duchess has been made patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

It was a proud moment for me and I received so many compliments on Joanna’s beautiful dress.

Fashion blogger CatwalkSchoolGates wearing the Dorothy dress in ivory in the long version – named the Dusty in my shop. She even posted a live video of herself wearing it on Instagram.

I’ve taken a pop-up shop in the shop in Highgate village which was used over 60 years ago as the butchers hence the hooks.  Its been open for over a week now and has been a great success – I’ve extended my stay till the end of May.

Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays or by appointment.

Jo Good on BBC Radio London has a billboard machine page and I wanted to let the capital know about the Crouch End pop up. I’d already met Jo and had sent her some images of my dresses, so when I called in she was already familiar with creations. Jo was very flattering.

The pop-up shop has been a great success.  It has been great meeting local residents. Artist Deanne loved her black Sadie dress and Jana, who is expecting a baby, tried on the Polly dress in navy which she has ordered in bottle green.  See her review of the dress in the shop page!

Being photographed by Metro Publications at Clerkenwell Vintage Fair.  I’m proudly showing off my dresses and holding the Belinda dress in scarlet.  We were at a fab new venue, The Yard, slap bang in the middle of Shoreditch. It’s a massive warehouse-style venue with white brick walls, exposed iron girders and concrete floors.

Model Haley – looking very “that’s when i fell for the leader of the pack” – during the Portobello London Fashion Week shoot.  TBH, the Dorothy dress has such a wonderful skirt that you could comfortably ride a Vespa or even a bicycle.

Sophie giving us a cheeky twirl in the Dorothy scarlet at our pop up shop in Highgate.

The natural floorboards and giant mirrors compensate for the somewhat stark ceiling – previously the space was a William Hill betting shop . . . now transformed into an elegant dressing up emporium.

The Annabelle dress in ivory was sold on Sunday 26 March to a rather delightful bride-to-be.  She said: “I just wanted to drop you a line to say how pleased I am to have bought this beautiful dress for the evening of my wedding.”

A photo of the stunning bride (face included) will be posted after her wedding later on this year.

Thank you so much for my dress (Dorothy navy). It has been great to find a designer that can make clothes inspired by the 1940’s era, who knows how material hangs on the body. I will have such joy wearing this dress over the festive season!
With very kind regards,
